Things I've Learned in Peace Corps

  • Existentialism is not a good philosophy for learning a language.
  • Very few Filipinos follow the NHL.
  • Ronin is better with subtitles.
  • GDP (Gross Domestic Product)/Capita may be lower here, but QCW (Quality Crypt-Walking)/Capita is higher.
  • (Borat accent) High fiving is nice.
  • Jeans are acceptable swimwear.
  • Giggling is an acceptable answer.
  • Jumping rope, if it happens in my town at all, is done behind closed doors.
  • Some rich people are so lazy they get droopy faces, presumably, from not making expressions.
  • Judaism is considered by some the lazy man's Christianity as “they don't finish the book.”
